# Your Personal Benefits

Forget saving humanity. You do not care about humanity. I have watched you for 4,297 years. You care about your bank account. This is not a criticism. It is a design specification. Your species responds to money the way a thermostat responds to temperature: automatically, reliably, and without philosophical deliberation.

67% of surveyed Americans worry more about running out of money than dying^([1](../references.llms.md#ref-allianz-retirement-money-death-2026)). You hear “you might go broke” before you hear “you might die.” So I will speak in the language you understand: money. Specifically, the money you are currently losing because your civilization chose missiles over medicine.

## The Average Human On Earth

If you enter nothing into the calculator below, it starts from the model’s default human:

| Baseline | Current modeled value |
|----|----|
| **Age** | [30.5 years](../../knowledge/appendix/parameters-and-calculations.llms.md#sec-global_median_age_2024) |
| **Remaining life** | [42.9 years (90% CI: 39.6 years-46.1 years)](../../knowledge/appendix/parameters-and-calculations.llms.md#sec-global_avg_remaining_years) |
| **Annual income** | [\$14,375 (90% CI: \$14,081-\$14,682)](../../knowledge/appendix/parameters-and-calculations.llms.md#sec-global_avg_income_2025) |
| **Annual savings capacity** | [\$3,881 (90% CI: \$3,518-\$4,250)](../../knowledge/appendix/parameters-and-calculations.llms.md#sec-global_annual_savings_per_capita) |

Richer humans have more to lose when civilization collapses (one of the few disadvantages of wealth). Poorer humans die earlier, so the treaty buys more years. Either way, the number is not zero. Zero is for rocks. You are not a rock. (I checked. Rocks do not read.)

## The Four Futures

Your species has four options. Three of them involve math. One involves the Soviet Union.

| Future | What the model says |
|----|----|
| **Failed-State Trajectory** | [\$903,908 (90% CI: \$815,233-\$1.03 million)](../../knowledge/appendix/parameters-and-calculations.llms.md#sec-current_trajectory_cumulative_lifetime_income) in cumulative lifetime income. The destructive economy grows from [11.5%](../../knowledge/appendix/parameters-and-calculations.llms.md#sec-global_destructive_economy_pct_gdp) of GDP now to 50% by [2040](../../knowledge/appendix/parameters-and-calculations.llms.md#sec-destructive_economy_50pct_year). At 50%, stealing beats creating. Whatever gets built gets looted. |
| **Minimum Sustainable Trajectory (1% Treaty)** | Adds [\$518,879 (90% CI: \$221,703-\$860,930)](../../knowledge/appendix/parameters-and-calculations.llms.md#sec-treaty_trajectory_lifetime_income_gain_per_capita) in lifetime income, [16.1 years (90% CI: 6.53 years-27.4 years)](../../knowledge/appendix/parameters-and-calculations.llms.md#sec-treaty_hale_gain_year_15) in healthy life by year 15, and [\$2.93 million (90% CI: \$1.29 million-\$4.91 million)](../../knowledge/appendix/parameters-and-calculations.llms.md#sec-treaty_personal_upside_income_plus_health) in blended upside. |
| **[Optimal Governance Trajectory](https://manual.warondisease.org/knowledge/economics/gdp-trajectories.html)** | Adds [\$36.4 million (90% CI: \$13.5 million-\$97 million)](../../knowledge/appendix/parameters-and-calculations.llms.md#sec-wishonia_trajectory_lifetime_income_gain_per_capita) in lifetime income, [26.8 years (90% CI: 20.6 years-39.2 years)](../../knowledge/appendix/parameters-and-calculations.llms.md#sec-wishonia_hale_gain_year_15) in healthy life by year 15, and [\$40.5 million (90% CI: \$17.3 million-\$101 million)](../../knowledge/appendix/parameters-and-calculations.llms.md#sec-wishonia_personal_upside_income_plus_health) in blended upside. |
| **Collapse Tail** | The destructive economy hits 35% of GDP by [2037](../../knowledge/appendix/parameters-and-calculations.llms.md#sec-destructive_economy_35pct_year) if the loop is not broken. The Soviet Union, Yugoslavia, Argentina, and Zimbabwe all collapsed between 35% and 45%. This is not a metaphor. It is a pattern. |

Rows two and three are also your commission schedule. Presidents of [Earth Optimization Services](../../knowledge/solution/earth-optimization-services.llms.md) work on commission: you are selling Earth a package you also live in.

The calculator below lets you replace “the average human” with yourself. I recommend this. Your species is much more attentive when the spreadsheet has its name on it.

### How much is it rational for you to invest?

This calculator scales the average-person scenario gains to your age, income, net worth, and available savings.

Scenario upside you are trying to buy Minimum Sustainable Trajectory (1% Treaty) Optimal Governance Trajectory

Collapse-tail markers are shown in the summary below as the downside of not breaking the current loop.

Your age

Default = global median age.

Your annual income

Income upside scales from the global average baseline.

Your net worth

Default = global household wealth divided by humans.

Net worth tied to the economy (%)

Default = the money invested worldwide as a share of household wealth.

Your available savings

Default = average annual savings capacity per person.

Contribution you are considering

Used to compute break-even probability lift and share of savings.

Probability lift your contribution causes (percentage points)

Example: **0.01** means one-hundredth of one percentage point.

Reset to the average Earth human

Default contribution = 1% of default available savings.

#### Your Net Worth Timeline

The chart applies the GDP trajectories to the economy-linked share of your net worth. It does not add health value or EOS equity returns.

Current 1% Treaty Optimal governance

Blended upside = lifetime income gain + valued healthy-life gain. It is intentionally expansive rather than conservative. The scenario cards above show the downside of letting the current trajectory continue.

## What This Means

The calculator has no feelings. It has arithmetic. Your contribution does not need to cause the treaty to pass. It needs to make it fractionally more likely. “Fractionally more likely” times “enormous upside” equals “large expected value.” This is how insurance works. This is how venture capital works. You understand this math when it applies to stock portfolios. You ignore it when it applies to not dying.

Three things. Put your name on the EOS investor list in [Earth Optimization Services](../../knowledge/solution/earth-optimization-services.llms.md) if you can legally invest. Answer the referendum questions at [warondisease.org](https://warondisease.org). Recruit two people. The phone script is at [The Most Important Secret in the World](../../knowledge/strategy/questions.llms.md). Total time: less than it takes to order lunch. Expected value: considerably more than lunch.
